Anyone who thinks that an allergy is comparable to diseases such as periodontitis or acne is very much mistaken.
Before we look at experiences on the subject, we would like to briefly explain what an allergy is. This description is anything but scientific, but it explains it quite clearly.
An allergy is like an overprotective watchdog in the immune system. Instead of only fighting intruders such as viruses and bacteria, this dog also sounds the alarm for harmless things such as pollen, dust or certain foods. Your body then mistakenly sees these substances as a serious threat and launches an all-out defense attack. The results?
