Areas of application for colloidal silver
Where is (colloidal) silver used?
The possible applications of silver are so diverse that only a few of the most fascinating examples can be mentioned here. In the USA, silver is used to support bone surgery and is used in an impressive 70% of clinics to treat burns of varying severity. The renowned Dr. Robert Becker has experimentally proven that silver ions can accelerate the regeneration of bones and inhibit the cell division of fibrosarcoma cells.
Biochemists in Switzerland are also causing a stir with their intensive research into how silver can interrupt and stop the replication of HIV viruses at various stages. In addition, water filters with colloidal silver are officially recognized by both the US Environmental Protection Agency and the Swiss government for home and office use.
In another galactic dimension, NASA relies on silver to provide its astronauts with clean drinking water in the space shuttle – and the Russians do the same on their space journeys. Major airlines such as Air France, Alitalia, British Airways, Canadian Pacific, Japan Airlines, KLM, Lufthansa, Olympic, PanAm, SAS and Swiss Air also use silver filters to guarantee their passengers safe water and minimize the risk of germs.
Silver has also found a permanent place in swimming pools, where it is increasingly replacing chlorine to prevent irritation and stinging eyes, among other things. And if all that wasn’t impressive enough, Japanese companies are even using silver to remove harmful substances such as cyanide and nitrogen oxides from the air.
Silver, which is often seen as the inconspicuous jewel, thus unfolds its impressive ability in service to mankind – in medicine, in space, in aviation, in water treatment and in industrial air purification. A truly brilliant all-rounder!
