How colloidal silver works

How is colloidal silver supposed to work?

Under laboratory conditions, it has been proven that colloidal silver has an effect on bacteria, viruses and fungi. There, it destroys the enzymes that are responsible for producing oxygen in single-celled organisms such as bacteria, but also in viruses and fungi. This process suffocates the germs within three to six minutes and thus renders them harmless.

This mode of action reduces the likelihood of bacterial strains developing resistance, at least under laboratory conditions.

Why then should this not also be possible for bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics?

We would like to point out that scientific studies on the effectiveness are lacking.

TU Munich:

The following statements expressly refer to a publication by the TU Munich.

Results of studies by the TU Munich would therefore indicate, in agreement with earlier studies from the USA, that the effect of silver also dissolves the cell membranes of the germs and the cells thus die. These tests were intended to prove that fibers coated with pure silver, which are used for “neurodermatitis clothing,” kill the microorganism “Staphylococcus aureus” simply by wearing the clothing.

And how much silver is useful?

What side effects and interactions does colloidal silver have and how long does it last?
