The English expression parts per million (ppm) stands for the number 10-6 and is used in science and technology for the millionth part, just as percent (%) stands for the hundredth part, i.e. 10-². We are aware that there are competitors who sometimes advertise significantly higher ppm numbers. However, more important than the weight of all the parts is the size of each particle. The smaller this is, the better it can possibly penetrate the membranes of bacteria, viruses or fungi and work in them. The claim that colloidal silver with 25 ppm or higher values is more effective than with 10 ppm is simply wrong. Some suppliers spread such claims to promote inferior products. Because their devices often cannot produce such fine particles.

Higher ppm numbers in most cases only lead to larger silver particles, but not to more silver particles.
